Thank You for a Great Season

North Shore Voleyball had a great season.  For the first time we had two (and sometimes three) teams competing at the NERVA U17 and U18 Open League levels for most of the season.  Our Club level teams also did very well in the AA, A, and B levels of the U14 (2 teams), U15 (three teams), U16 (four teams), U17 (one team), and U18 (one team).

Go to Results for the performance of all teams during the season.

North Shore Volleyball Club, Inc.
North Shore Juniors Volleyball Club, Inc. is a nonprofit USA Volleyball (USAV) Junior Olympic Volleyball program, for young athletes serious about the sport of volleyball.

NSJVB, Inc. offers competitive volleyball team play for all youth age groups and skill levels. We provide experienced coaches dedicated to offering a higher level of volleyball play beyond the interscholastic experience. This program was developed for those athletes who desire more skills training and competition than is available during a regular school season. It serves as a chance for players to continue competitive volleyball play in the winter, and fits in with the specific skills camps offered in the NE Region during the summer.
After completing the tryout process, players will be participating in the North Shore Juniors Volleyball Program that will practice or compete on Sundays for a 16-week period from January until the end of April. The program is sanctioned by, and will practice and compete in tournaments held under the auspices of the New England Regional Volleyball Association (NERVA) which is part of the national USAV organization. NERVA membership entitles players to compete in any NERVA/USAV sanctioned tournament, and brings all players under a USAV national insurance policy while practicing or traveling and competing in a NERVA/USAV program practice or tournament. NOTE: All athletes must have their own medical insurance.

Using the tryout ratings by position, players will be placed into teams of approximate equal skill. We stress a high level of play by limiting the teams to a total of TEN players. The coaches will consider placing players who are from the same school or town onto the same team to facilitate carpools where possible, provided that their strengths and/or positions will fit on those teams. Teams will be entered into tournaments during the second half of the season based on their age and skill level.

The JO program is designed to allow players to compete against teams of similar strength, while providing a generally high level of team practice and competition for the entire sixteen-week program. Teams that do well at one level of play may move to a higher level as the tournament segment of the season progresses.
